July 2025 – Freedom #2

As we discuss freedom, let’s remember that we can’t force others to choose divine liberty. We can work to remove impediments to freedom for others, but they have to choose it for themselves. Just like we each have to choose.

No one is completely free, this side of glory. We all have areas of entanglement, pockets of resistance to God’s will. It’s easy forget about our own limitations and get caught up in thinking about what others ought to be doing. Let’s focus on ourselves—not selfishly, but realistically—and work on our own freedoms. Let’s identify the areas where we are not free, seeking to grow and change in God’s love.

As we move in expanding freedom, others will be drawn to us. Together we will walk the glory road, remaining steadfast in Christ’s liberty (Galatians 5:1).
